Levy Election, May 6
Lolo School is asking for the community's consideration of a general fund levy on an upcoming ballot. The intent of the funding is to improve academic opportunities through more robust extension and intervention activities, recruiting quality staff, and supporting student behavior. While the State of Montana authorized a 3% inflation adjustment, the State funds only 2.4%. This levy would close the gap. Lolo School continues to be thrifty with tax dollars, including the reduction of nine positions over the past eight years, even though student numbers remain steady. This levy is about providing additional support to students and staff, not paying for a building. Local dollars stay local.
