Lolo 7th and 8th grade girls basketball teams kicked off their season last night against Target Range. 7th grade lost by 2 in overtime and 8th grade won their game. Great start to the season!

Fifth graders experimented with the visiting Naturalist today. They explored using “canimals” to determine whether larger or smaller animals can stay warmer in the winter.

The 5th grade students made cargo boats today in science while exploring the properties of density and buoyancy.
The 5th grade made goodie bags for our soldier friends in the Middle East! Parents, students, and teachers donated time, food, and money to make individual goodie bags for 60 soldiers! We will be sending approximately 10 boxes of goodies!

2nd Graders collaborated with Mr. Long’s 7th grade class to make cookies. Then 2nd graders shared with with families at their Data Notebook Party.
Lolo School 3rd and 4th grade extra curricular choir students went on a Holiday Caroling trip this week to some senior living facilities. We had a blast singing and spreading holiday cheer!
3rd grade kicked off this chilly morning with a fun Family Friday. They have been reading and researching Holidays Around the World and finished the unit with an escape room. They traveled to six different countries this morning with the help of their families. Then ended the morning with 4th grade reading ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas.
The middle school ended the day with an assembly and a student vs. staff volleyball match. The assembly concluded with the SRO being pied in the face.
We’re still patriotic! Our flagpole hardware has been frozen for a couple of days, so we haven’t been able to fly the colors like we usually would. Thanks for understanding.

Yesterday Lolo Kindergartners were surprised by a special delivery of stuffed animals from the Missoula Rural Fire Department! Thank you MRFD for spreading holiday cheer and joy to our students!

Third grade has been working on their Holidays Around the World unit this week. Today, our wonderful para Ms. Bettina shared a traditional German Christmas story with us and the Christmas song, “O Christmas Tree” translated in German. We greatly appreciate our paraprofessionals!
